A Trip to Granny’s is the culmination of five months of very hard work. We have both been using Lightwave for years, but until now never devoted the time to create a short film. We felt that the piece should involve some common experience that anyone could relate to, and we didn’t want language to limit the audience. The piece comments on a lot of different things: the loneliness of old age, the imagination of children, and how it can be hijacked by cartoons, even American TV culture.
